PDO Threads

PDO Threads are designed to help tighten and thicken your skin which is different from a thread lift which lifts tissues using long barbed threads. However, PDO threads can still reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by stimulating the production of collagen in the body. The treatment stimulates collagen production, which tightens your skin for 6 to 12 months, while the threads provide support for your face. This enables natural collagen production to happen and eventually, the threads will be completely absorbed by the body.

Prior to the PDO thread lift procedure, a topical anesthetic will be applied to make it as comfortable as possible. PDO threads are placed beneath the skin using a long cannula. Threading will be repeated until the desired lift is achieved. Despite lifting the skin, the threads cannot correct severe laxity. (Genius RF is a great treatment for skin laxity.)

PDO thread lift treatments may take up to two hours, after which you can resume most of your normal daily activities. After about 6-9 months, the threads dissolve, stimulating collagen production and rejuvenating the skin.

PDO smooth threads are a much quicker treatment, generally taking 30 minutes or less depending how many areas are being treated. There is no downtime with smooth threads.
